Mezzo-soprano Katharina Bierweiler and pianist Jyri Mishukov are one of the most promising emerging lied duos on the European music scene. Their artistic approach centres on the great German lied repertoire, with programmes conceived as genuine emotional journeys. Their performances explore the close relationship between music and poetry, tracing a path from the early Romantic period to the dawn of the twentieth century.

Their repertoire includes composers such as Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Liszt, Wolf, Mahler and Britten, always serving a coherent artistic vision and a musical narrative that transcends the simple succession of songs. With refined and deeply communicative performances, Katharina Bierweiler and Jyri Mishukov uphold the tradition of the great lied duos, in which the piano is far more than an accompaniment: it becomes an essential musical partner to the voice, together creating a richly expressive and compelling sound world..
