This piano recital is a unique proposal that rescues 20th century music that is often forgotten or marginalised. Pianist Inés Reguero is to give a voice to overshadowed composers from the history of music. The works include pieces by Lily Boulanger, the first woman to win the prestigious Grand Prix de Rome, and by Dora Pejačević, a Croatian composer revered in some of the most important venues of the time yet seldom performed today. Rosa Garcia Ascot, Blanca Selva, Joan Massià, and Dolors Sarriera are also part of this group of creators who, despite the quality of their music, are rarely present in the usual repertoires. The concert will not only defend the artistic quality of the works, but will also highlight the gender inequalities and social circumstances determining the history of music.
