Screening of documentary and round table

Conxita Badia ( 1897-1975 ) was a famous Catalan soprano and pianist in the world of art and popular song. She studied with great masters such as Felip Pedrell, Enric Granados, Pau Casals and Manuel de Falla, and was a favourite student and performer of theirs. Her international career took her to stages around the world, working with composers such as Toldrà and Montsalvatge. As a professor, she taught leading figures such as Montserrat Caballé. Despite her relevance, her name has often been forgotten. On the 50th anniversary of her death, the Government of Catalonia declared 2025 as Conxita Badia Year in defence of her musical legacy.
